What to Watch in March 2026 โ Bollywood, OTT and Everything Worth Your Time
Second week of March. World Cup hangover is still real. IPL is 17 days away. And somehow, between all of that, the entertainment calendar has quietly loaded up with some genuinely exciting releases.
Here's what's worth your time โ in theatres and on your couch.
In Theatres
Kissa Court Kachahari Ka โ March 13
Nobody is talking about this enough. Rajesh Sharma and Brijendra Kala in a courtroom drama โ no VFX, no item numbers, no 200-crore budget. Just two incredibly good character actors in a script-heavy film about moral dilemmas and what actually happens inside Indian courtrooms.
If you're tired of everything being a spectacle, this is the antidote. Don't sleep on it.
Nagabandham โ March 14
Virat Karrna and Nabha Natesh in a fantasy action film built around Indian mythology and folklore. The trailer suggests they've spent serious money on the visuals, and the premise โ folklore meets big-screen action adventure โ is exactly the kind of thing that works when done right.
South Indian cinema has been doing this genre better than anyone for three years. Nagabandham looks like it belongs in that company.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge โ March 19
This is the one everyone's waiting for.
Ranveer Singh versus Akshaye Khanna in a spy thriller sequel. If the first Dhurandhar set the baseline, this one is apparently built to clear it by a significant margin. Premium ticket prices are already gone in most metros. The kind of film you need to see in a good theatre with a loud sound system โ not on your phone two weeks later.

March 20 โ Three Films, One Day
Someone at the release scheduling committee had an interesting week. Three completely different films dropping on the same Friday:
Vrushakarma โ Naga Chaitanya doing high-voltage action. His recent track record suggests this will be better than the posters make it look.
Mysaa โ Rashmika Mandanna in a period action drama. The buzz on this one has been building for months and the scale looks genuinely ambitious. Could be the sleeper hit of the month.
Maa Vande โ Unni Mukundan in what looks like a biographical drama with serious emotional weight. Malayalam cinema's best performers keep showing up in films that the rest of India discovers six months late. Don't be that person.
Taxila โ March 27
Indian sci-fi that actually looks like Indian sci-fi โ meaning it seems to have thought about the science and not just used it as backdrop for a family drama. Sathish Ramakrishna and S.S. Raman. Closes out the month's theatrical releases and could be a quiet surprise if the storytelling matches the ambition.
On Your Streaming Apps
Sankalp โ March 11 | Prime Video
Nana Patekar's OTT debut. Directed by Prakash Jha โ the same person who made Raajneeti and Gangaajal.
That combination alone is enough reason to clear your Tuesday evening. Patekar playing a leader navigating political corruption, with Jha's signature refusal to make anyone in the story purely good or purely evil. If this lands the way it should, it'll be one of the better things on Indian OTT this year.
Aspirants Season 3 โ March 13 | Amazon Prime Video
TVF bringing back Abhilash, Guri, and SK โ except now Abhilash is actually in the system he spent years trying to enter, and the question the show is asking is whether he can survive it without becoming it.
That's a harder, more interesting story than the UPSC prep arc. The first two seasons earned enormous goodwill by being honest about things Indian television usually softens. Season 3 has a lot to live up to. Early word suggests it does.
The Taj Story โ March 13 | Lionsgate Play
Paresh Rawal. Available in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. Not much is known about the actual story but Rawal hasn't taken a role in years that didn't have something worthwhile at its centre. Worth a watch on the strength of that track record alone.
International Stuff Worth Noting
Netflix dropped One Piece Season 2 on March 10 โ if you watched Season 1, you already know what you're doing tonight. Virgin River Season 7 follows on March 12 for those who've been following that show's particular brand of emotional chaos.
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man hits Netflix on March 20. Tommy Shelby is back. That sentence doesn't need elaboration.
Over on JioHotstar, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 arrives March 25. Marvel's best street-level series getting another season is exactly the kind of news that makes a Tuesday feel like a Friday.
Regional and Lighter Content
ZEE5 has the Telugu comedy-drama Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi on March 13 if you need something that won't make you think too hard. Andha Pyaar 2.0 follows on March 14 โ a relationship talk show that's apparently funnier than it sounds.
Sony LIV drops Jazz City on March 19 โ a Bengali-Hindi drama series that's been quietly generating good word of mouth from people who've seen early cuts.
The Month in One Line
Dhurandhar: The Revenge in theatres on March 19. Aspirants Season 3 on your couch on March 13. Peaky Blinders back on March 20. Everything else fills the gaps nicely.
Rest of March is handled.
