Vijay and Rashmika — "VIRosh" to fans who had been calling this since Geeta Govindam — got married on February 26 in Udaipur. PM Modi sent blessings. The sangeet went viral on its own. And the internet, because it is the internet, split cleanly into two groups within about forty minutes.
Group one: heartbreak memes. Rashmika has been India's "National Crush" for years, which means a significant portion of the country had invested emotionally in an outcome that was never going to happen. The grief performance was spectacular, sincere, and extremely funny.
